What kinds of projects do you mostly work on?
Generally, I work on projects for smaller companies and small projects for larger ones. I have been doing mostly web work for a while, as that seems to be what is in demand. I would love to do more print and illustration work though.

Do you work alone?
For many projects, yes. When extra help is needed because a project exceeds my abilities or becomes too large, I hire help.

Do you only work with local clients?
No, in fact, some of my clients are quite far away. When possible, I like to meet with the client, especially if the project is fairly large. However, this is not always possible, and in this case, conversations by phone and email usually do the trick.

How much do you charge?
I charge based on the type of project, how large it is and what kind of car you drive up in (just kidding). If you are interested in working with me, give me a call, we'll meet, discuss your needs and I'll give you an estimate.

What is your design philosophy?
To be honest, no one ever asks me this. But they should. For web sites especially, I have three basic rules that I follow:

1. Keep it as simple as possible
2. Keep it as easy to use/read as possible
3. Keep it on brand

Do you work with computers?
Someone actually asked me this once. I didn't quite know what to make of the question. Had I been a scientist at IBM in the 1950's, the inquiry might not have seemed so odd. But, in short, yes, I do work with computers. Although they don't always work with me.
